Tweeting Animals

I suggested to my boss that our ferret should have his own twitter feed, then he changed the subject. If Bob had been a real ferret I might have understood...

New fangled stuff

Must be new technology week at work. I've attended two presentations on Web 2.0 applications and got the go ahead for a major new technology project. I hope I never have to write another business case ever again. Writing a novel is so much easier.

Anyone would think the universe is trying to tell me something!

Letters from the Dead

The Library of the Living Dead are getting ready to publish Letters from the Dead, a collection of letters from people who are writing with the zombies at the door.

I've got a short piece in this, the first of five pieces to appear in Library of the Living Dead anthos this year.  With Pandora's Nightmare due out any time this has been an exciting week.

Pandora's Nightmare

I neglected to mention that the good folks at Pill Hill Press will be publishing my story Be Friendly Unto Me in their upcoming anthology Pandora's Nightmare: Horror Unleashed. Expected to go to print within the next couple of weeks.

Set in Jacobean England (early 1600s) this is the unhappy story of two witchfinders.

The main characters are so demanding they're insisting that I write their novel for them!

Writing in the East Midlands

If, like me, you're writing in the East Midlands of England (Notts, Derbyshire, Leics etc.) you may want to check out Writing East Midlands. This organisation provides support and resources for writers living in the East Midlands.

The site allows people looking for writers to contribute to creative projects to find you.

Digital Community Engagement

So, a posh word for communicating with people, but the current buzzphrase in the heritage community. I spent all of yesterday at a Web 2.0 seminar for my day job. And when they asked who had a blog I put my hand up, when they asked who blogs weekly I had to put it down.

Shame on me.

Tweet the Meat

The Twitter horror zine Tweet the Meat will publish my whisper themed twitfic sometime this week.
This great zine features horror stories told in less than 140 characters.
